Qualified applicant must;
• Respond to cases as directed by Dispatch.
• Provide supervision and guidance to EMT staff.
• When working with EMTs, take responsibility for quality patient-care as established by ORGNIZATION.
• As a Paramedic, provide the additional Patient assessment and care that is beyond the scope of an EMT, in accordance with DCAS Policies, Procedures and Clinical Practice Guidelines.
• Maintain competency in all skills and medications identified in the PHECC Paramedic Skills Matrix (Level Five).
• Perform Invasive procedures and extensive pharmacological interventions are within the scope of practice within this level.
• In addition to EMT skills, maintain competency in ADDITIONAL paramedic skills, assessments and procedures.
• Maintain competency in all equipment in accordance with Clinical Practice Guidelines Level Five.
• Provide clinical support to EMT staff and responders.
• Take lead of patient management in absence of higher skilled staff.
• Maintain PHECC registration (Level Five) or equivalent, in addition to EMT skills
• Ensure ambulance vehicles and equipment maintained in a constant state of operational readiness at all times.
• Drive ambulance vehicles in accordance with Policy and Procedures including pre-shift vehicle check, when required.
• Perform any other duties related to the work of the department or as directed.
• work shift work in accordance with Shift Schedules.
• Be available for disaster response as required.
• Work in all weather conditions.
• Must hold current PHECC accreditation as Paramedic level 5 or hold qualification equivalent to PHECC Paramedic Level 5
• Current license to practice in home country
• Tertiary Education qualification in paramedic studies or pre-hospital care.
• Valid UAE Driver’s license
