Job brief – Facilities Manager
• We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee all our building-related activities. He would be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning. Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
• The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. Leadership abilities and phenomenal efficiency can set you apart among our candidate pool.
• Proven experience as facilities manager for at least 5 years.
• Master’s degree in business management, facilities management or related field.
Key skills
• Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills; time-management skills; familiarity with building upkeep, structural issues, and grounds maintenance.
• Manage the overall services provided within the facility.
• Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Use best business practices to manage and reduce operating costs.
• Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.
• Advising businesses on increasing energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Ability to lead and manage teams and projects.
• Communication and influencing skills, in person and in writing.
• Track building upkeep as well as anticipated long- and short-term improvements and maintenance.
• Ensure the security of the building by researching and implementing various security measures, such as surveillance cameras or security staff members.
• Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the facility.
• A good knowledge of IT packages.
