Business Development Executive/Manager (Dubai)

The incumbent will support the Managing Director in raising the profile of the Interior Fit Out Company, establishing market penetration in Commercial & Residential Interior Fit-out market in the UAE and GCC, generating opportunities through contacts, networking and association.
• Raise the profile of our client Interior Fit out company in the local UAE market to be known as a high quality design and build company of choice.
• Explore markets within UAE and in the wider GCC for business opportunities and develop quality leads that can be converted to profitable business.
• Develop relationships with government and high profile individuals through networking and attending meetings with peers within the industry.
• Document meetings through creation of Contact Reports, Design Briefs etc. and maintain a paper trail for all projects.
• Fully engage clients in order to sell our clients services, ensuring maximum profit and revenue for the company.
• Manage clients expectations through liaison with internal departments, keeping clients updated on project developments and building sustainable long term client relationships.
• Coordinate with internal departments and chase the team to deliver the client requirements on schedule and to the highest standard.
• Responsible for the collection of all own client payments, liaising with Commercial team and PM’s to ensure all necessary steps are being taken to recover funds.
• Coordinate with the finance team to follow up with clients on payments and ensure a steady cash flow for projects.
• Attend networking meetings with Business Groups and Industry peers
Expected –
• Computer literate with good operating skills in MS Office
• In depth knowledge of business and company profile, as well as reliable contacts for business generation
• Detailed knowledge of a sales role involving interiors or office furniture
Desirable –
• Very good understanding of local and wider GCC market, especially in construction and interiors industry, including competitors and associated relationships
• Professional qualification
• Extensive knowledge of the sales process
• Proven track record in business development or a sales role in the Interiors Industry within the UAE/GCC
• Detailed knowledge of interiors competitors and industry peers
Desirable –
• Existing strong relationships with Project Management or Consultants within the industry
Soft Skills
• Excellent interpersonal and written and spoken English communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills
• Outgoing personality with ability to engage clients
• Ability to work on own initiative with little guidance
• Self motivated confident, team player
• Knowledge of Arabic would be a bonus
