A Joinery Company is looking for highly qualified individuals to join a team.
a. Factory Foremen (10)
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for monitoring the progress of a project and keeping it on track from a time and budgetary standpoint.
2. Ensure workers are qualified and knowledgeable about their roles and make assignments according to skill sets.
3. Ensures safe working conditions and compliance with all safe operating procedures specific to the industry.
b. Site Foreman (10)
Responsibilities:
1. Organising tools, plant, machinery and materials.
2. Organising workers.
3. Supervising construction activities.
4. Identifying materials and equipment that may be required.
5. Ensuring construction is carried out accurately, following plans and specifications.
6. Ensuring that contractor activities are properly co-ordinated.
7. Ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
8. Taking responsibility for health and safety on site.
9. Training employees.
10. Maintaining detailed and accurate site reports.
11. Communicating project progress to key stakeholders, such as the client, architects, engineers, and so on.
c. Furniture/Furnishing Carpenters (100)
Responsibilities:
1. Confer with clients to determine their specific requirements for making pieces of furniture.
2. Assist clients by providing them with design options to look through, and suggesting designs.
3. Provide clients with information on the type of wood that will be used for their particular projects.
4. Create and present estimates of furniture carpentry projects, and obtain clients’ approvals.
5. Shop for the right types of woods for each project, by first identifying which type is required for specific projects.
6. Cut wood according to specified designs, and put planks together to make items such as tables, chairs, desks, and bookshelves.
7. Nail parts together, by using hand-held hammers, and ensure that any loose edges are smoothed over.
8. Check items to ensure that they have been made according to design, and handle any nips and tucks that they may require.
9. Polish produced furniture, using colors that the clients have asked for specifically.
10. Handle painting work on furniture, and ensure that all items are properly buffed and finished.
11. Perform repair on old furniture, to maintain it, and to refurbish it upon the clients’ request.
d. Painters (100)
Responsibilities:
1. Paint the interiors of apartments, condos, townhomes and other multi-family dwellings as required
2. Work with other construction professionals, such as carpenters, electricians and plumbers, to prepare units for lease
3. Protect all nearby furnishings and building materials before and during every painting job, including carpets, cabinetry, outlet covers, lighting fixtures and landscaping
4. Collaborate with other professional painters on larger jobs
5. Practice self-supervision on small jobs and ensure you complete each project in an efficient, timely manner
6. Match paint samples for touch-ups and other small projects
7. Meet with property managers to discuss color and finish options as well as other design details for leasing spaces
e. Mason (100)
Responsibilities:
1. Layering building materials such as bricks, concrete, tiles and other construction materials.
2. Fabricates, alters, repairs, and maintains walls, sidewalks, street curbs, floors, bathroom showers, sink counters, partitions, manholes, and other related structures or surfaces.
3. Mixes cements.
4. Coordinate with clients, engineers and other people in the construction for te project.
5. Operates heavy equipments.
6. Make assessments, reports, and note needed materials.
7. Make plans and report changes ife there’s any to the project coordinator
f. Gypsum Workers (50)
Responsibilities:
1. Trims rough edges from wallboard to maintain even joints, using knife.
2. Fits and fastens wallboard or sheetrock into specified position, using hand tools, portable power tools, or adhesive.
3. Measures and marks cutting lines on framing, drywall, and trim, using tape measure, straightedge or square, and marking devices.
4. Installs blanket insulation between studs and tacks plastic moisture barrier over insulation.
5. Removes plaster, drywall, or paneling, using crowbar and hammer.
6. Assembles and installs metal framing and decorative trim for windows, doorways, and vents.
