Job brief:
Day to day responsibility of a finance function. Strengthen Internal controls, Cash flow management and Management Reporting and provide accounting & technical guidance and advice to both finance & operations teams.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all accounting operations including Payroll, Billing, A/R, A/P
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements with commercial recommendations and insight
• Implement internal controls and strengthen HQ oversight over the Business Units
• Design and implement a consolidated treasury function
• Support month-end and year-end close process and ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage a detailed and rigorous annual budgeting process
• Manage the Audit Relationship and annual Audit Process
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Identifying areas for process improvement and executing them accordingly;
• Evaluate the current accounting systems, recommend and implement any changes required
Requirements:
• Proven working experience as a Financial controller in a high growth environment
• 10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Service Retail experience preferred
• CPA, CMA or CIMA Qualified; MBA preferred
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
• Exceptional communicator who is comfortable building strong relationships with non-financial stakeholders and must be able to exert influence across the organisation.
