Subject Matter Expert of Ship Systems, Machinery, Analyses, and piping requirements. Has the an ability to lead integration of Mechanical and Electrical Design requirements and mechanical projects. – Job Job System Technical Advisor and Navy Government Representative experienced with System Engineering reviews and validation of contract requirements and designs, develops, and analyzes new ships and/or ship systems. Subject Matter Expert of Ship Systems, Machinery, Analyses, and piping requirements. Has the an ability to lead integration of Mechanical and Electrical Design requirements and mechanical projects. 1. Assists in the development, analyses, design of of new or existing ships, machinery, and system concepts with drawing tools, software tools, and reports. 2. Develops designs for current and conceptualized systems, and equipment. Prepares plans and drawings using design software. 3. Applies regulatory, and customer standards, as well as classification society rules. 4. Interfaces with suppliers, vendors/contractors and cross functional teams to ensure necessary design integration, task quality and completion. Bachelor’s degree in ocean engineering, marine engineering, or mechanical engineering or related field preferred – Eight or more years of experience in ship design, marine or ocean engineering – Experience working with ship and ship system machinery design principles and practices – Experience working with ship system performance assessment and prediction methods
