Mandatory Requirements
– Degree or Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
– Total experience not less than 5 years out of which minimum 3 years in UAE, employed with a Design Consultant and Supervising Engineer on site
– Should possess experience of high rise commercial & residential buildings.
Job Overview
– Review of Contract specification, Design drawings, Contractors submittals including material submissions, shop drawings, calculations, method statements etc.
– Attend weekly/ periodic site meetings with Contractor, Employer and any/all other stakeholders as and when required.
– Advise Project Manager of any serious issues that need critical/ urgent resolution on part of any of the stakeholders.
– Review shop drawings with consciousness of coordination with other trades like electrical, mechanical, any specialist disciplines etc.
– Conduct site inspections, Quality / Testing / QA / QC / Inspections.
– Issue NCR’s when required and attend meetings with design team members.
– Must have skill to coordinate and supervise the Electrical, Air Conditioning Ventilation work, Plumbing drainage work, Fire Fighting Fire Alarm, Associated Electrical & Low Current works etc.
– This is not an exhaustive list and the engineer will be expected to carry out all functions other than those typical to his position that are assigned to him from time to time.
