ONE OF OUR AZERBAIJAN BASED OIL AND GAS CLIENT LOOKING
MECHANICAL ENGINEER (OIL AND GAS)
Education & experience:
Degree Mechanical Engineering
Detailed information of power plant systems and equipment in area of responsibility;
Minimum of 7-10 years experience in rotating equipment onsite maintenance, operations, troubleshooting and reapir;
Experience in a similar industry is strongly preferred;
Strong knowledge on rotating equipment installation/maintenance; philosophy of Gas Turbines and Centrifugal Compressors, and their auxiliaries (lube oil system, fuel gas system, seal gas system, steam system et), and SCADA system.
Main responsibilities:
Performs field inspections and oversees field measurements and data collection;
Performs package mechanical and electrical systems planned and corrective maintenance;
Provides front-line support to installation and commissioning activities;
Gas Turbine Engine removal and installation;
Conducts condition monitoring of equipment (vibration analysis and diagnostics, lubricant analysis etc.);
Mechanical systems retrofit and upgrade;
Supports and emphasizes the importance of safety and environmental programs and ensures compliance with HSE standards;
Initiates/participates in continuous improvement planning and implementation in assigned area of responsibility;
Communicates with customers regarding condition of equipment and repair work scope;
Generates and submits timely field service reports;
Performs technical duties in area of responsibility;
Recognizes problems and is proactive in helping to resolve them;
Performs equipment troubleshooting problem rectification;
Evaluates component condition and repair options and performs risk assessment for maintenance activities;
Identifies and implements new or existing repair technology in area of responsibility;
Inspects completed work or work in progress to assure job quality, including off-site work performed by vendors at their facilities;
Performs field repairs of driven equipment, pumps, compressors and generators;
Contributes to Computerized Maintenance Management System Program (CMMS);
Coaching and mentoring junior maintenance staff as per developed on-job-training program;
Provides input on full field development specifications and related process equipment;
Ensures compliance with all company and governmental safety, environmental and health rules and regulations;
Any and all other duties as assigned by the Senior Field Service Engineer, including the possibility of occasional workshop-based activities
