Senior Accountant (Sharjah)
We are seeking to hire a qualified and well experienced Accountant for our office in Sharjah, UAE
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for compliance and accounting of the excise duty liabilities for specific excise terminals and compliance and accounting of the VAT liabilities of the company’s operations.
• Provide cover for the preparation, validation and submission of monthly and quarterly VAT returns.
• Manage all accounting operations based on accounting principles
• Prepare budget and financial forecasts
• Publish financial statements in time
• Conduct month-end and year-end close process
• Collect, analyze and summarize account information
• Compute taxesand prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement etc.
• Develop periodic reports for management
• Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures
• Keep information confidential and secure them with random database backups
• Keep up with financial policies, regulation and legislation
Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in VAT accounting, implementation and administration.
• To be well versed with MS Excel.
• Experienced in MS Great Plains
• Minimum to hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Must have had completed minimum 2 years with the current company
