Job Description:
One of our clients a Pharmaceutical Company with operations in US, Europe & Japan is hiring “Manager – Business Development” for Dubai with prior experience with the US market preferably.
Responsibilities
• Portfolio management and strategic planning for generic / multi-source drugs across a range of therapeutic areas and dosage forms.
• Assess in-licensing and acquisition opportunities and make recommendations to senior management about long term positioning in the generic segment.
• Conduct market research, develop financial models and long-range forecasts, and represent the organization with supply chain and licensing partners.
• Negotiate term sheets and close deals, and manage external alliances after they are established.
• Evaluate partnering opportunities in specialized segments including topicals and biosimilars.
• Other responsibilities include pricing, budgeting, competitive intelligence.
• Work closely with counterparts in Sales, Regulatory, Marketing, Manufacturing and Legal to develop and implement the long-term strategic plan for the generic product line.
Knowledge and Skills:
• 7 – 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with at least 5 years in a Business Development role
• Experience in in-licensing of technology based products; preferably topicals and biosimilars
• Ability to identify competent 3rd party partners for complex product development
• M. Pharm / M.Sc and an MBA is preferred
